5 Ways To Use Protein Powder That Aren’t Smoothies

In this article, we will discuss 5 ways to use protein powder:

  1. Greek Yoghurt Bowl
  2. Protein Bites
  3. Chocolate Chip Zucchini Muffins
  4. Protein Iced Coffee
  5. Chia Pudding

Protein is essential for burning fat, boosting your metabolism and losing weight, which is why I love adding a clean, non-inflammatory protein powder to recipes whenever I can. My go-to is Equip Foods Prime Protein as it is easy to digest and absorb and does not have any added sugar or fillers.

Here are 5 ways to use protein powder that aren’t just smoothies…

1) Greek Yoghurt Bowl

Greek yoghurt is an excellent source of protein, but on its own it does not offer quite enough to meet the Fat Burning Foods Formula. I like to mix a scoop of vanilla protein powder into 1 cup of of greek yoghurt and top it with a handful of berries and a few tablespoons of hemp seeds for a simple and satisfying breakfast option.

2) Protein Bites

There are many different variation for protein bites, but these Cacao and Orange Protein Balls are one of my favorites. They’re made with cacao, fresh orange juice and zest and my favorite protein powder from Equip Foods, which makes them taste decadent whilst packing them full of health benefits. 3) Zucchini & Choc Chip Muffins

These sugar-free muffins make the perfect breakfast or healthy snack when you need something quick and easy (I prep a batch or two on Sundays for the week ahead). I used stevia sweetened protein powder from Equip Foods in this recipe, so they taste sweet even without any added sugar. That means these muffins won’t spike your blood sugar, and you’ll feel more satiated and experience less cravings throughout the day! Get the full recipe from my free 7 Day Metabolic Reset Diet!

4) Protein Iced Coffee

Short on time in the morning? Simply add a scoop of protein powder to your coffee along with your milk of choice and blend! Serve with ice for a refreshing option on-the-go. Whilst it is not the same as a full Fat Burning Breakfast, it ensures you get high quality protein, and it prevents added stress from drinking coffee on a truly empty stomach.

5) Chia Pudding

Chia pudding is one of my favorite make ahead options for breakfast as it is quick and delicious. I have especially been loving my Chocolate Almond Butter Chia Pudding! Like all of my recipes, this chia pudding contains the Lean & Clean essentials: protein, fibre and healthy fats. Plus, it’s the perfect way to get my chocolate fix without any added sugar and tons of nutrients! Get the recipe here.
