5 Beauty Boosting Breakfast Ingredients

In this article about beauty boosting breakfast ingredients, we will discuss

  1. Tahini
  2. Collagen
  3. Sea Moss Gel
  4. Buckwheat
  5. Quinoa Flakes

When the weather cools down, it’s common for skin to become more irritated and dry, leading to more redness, noticeable wrinkles and less of that dewy Summer glow. Here are 5 foods that you can incorporate into your breakfasts to enhance skin health, elasticity and hydration from the inside out…

1) Tahini

Tahini is a paste made from ground sesame seeds. It is a good source of healthy fats, particularly monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats, which can help maintain the skin’s natural barrier and prevent moisture loss. Tahini also contains vitamin E, an antioxidant that can protect the skin from damage caused by free radicals and UV rays. Plus, it’s copper content helps in the production of melanin, which is important for maintaining an even skin tone. Add tahini to your smoothies, yogurt bowls and baked goods in place of nut butter.

2) Collagen

Collagen peptides provide the body with the building blocks necessary to build new collagen, which provides strength to the skin. Consuming collagen can help improve skin elasticity, reduce the appearance of wrinkles, and promote a more youthful complexion. It also aids in the repair of damaged skin cells and supports the skin’s natural healing processes. I add Equip Foods collagen to my smoothies every morning for its skin boosting benefits (use code JENNIFERH for 15% off at checkout).

3) Sea Moss Gel

Sea moss, or Irish moss, is a type of seaweed rich in vitamins, minerals, and trace elements that are beneficial for the skin. It contains essential nutrients like iodine, which supports thyroid function and contributes to healthy, radiant skin. Sea moss gel can help hydrate the skin from the inside out, improving complexion and reducing the appearance of dryness and blemishes. Try adding sea moss to your smoothies to take advantage of its many benefits.

4) Buckwheat

Buckwheat is a whole grain that is rich in antioxidants, particularly rutin, which can help protect the skin from oxidative stress and inflammation. Its high fiber content can aid in digestion and help remove toxins from the body, promoting clear and radiant skin. Buckwheat is also a good source of B vitamins, which are important for healthy skin. I have been loving Lil Bucks Sprouted Buckwheat on top of my yogurt bowls for extra crunch.

5) Quinoa Flakes

Quinoa is a complete protein, meaning it contains all nine essential amino acids, which are building blocks for the body’s collagen production. The protein in quinoa can help repair and regenerate skin cells, leading to a more youthful appearance. Quinoa also provides vitamins and minerals like iron and magnesium, which support skin health and overall vitality. Use quinoa flakes in place of oats for a warm and nourishing “oatmeal” for breakfast.
