There are certain combinations that just work: strawberries and cream, chips and guac, me and Husband Hanway, and my new (second favorite) combo, Beam CBD Oil and Chocolate!

This is my third recipe featuring thc free, organic Beam CDB Oil and chocolate, and whilst this has not been deliberate the combination of magnesium rich, calming cacao with stress relieving, anxiety reducing CBD works so well.

How does CBD reduce anxiety?

Research shows that CBD can stimulate neural regeneration and activate calming neurotransmitters – the protein based messengers that communicate with your nervous system and tell us whether it’s time to ‘ramp up’ or ‘calm down’. And quite frankly, we spend far too much time in this super switched on mode (aka fight or flight), and far too little in a calm and tranquil state (aka rest and digest). As part of the body’s communication system neurotransmitters work far quicker and more locally than hormones, which is why the stress relieving benefits of Beam CBD can work so quickly!

So that’s the science. Let’s add it to some chocolate and make some magic happen…

Beam CBD Holiday Chocolate Bark Recipe

• 2 bars organic 85% (or higher) dark chocolate
• 1/4 cup finely shredded coconut
• 1/4 cup unsweetened dried cranberries
• 1/4 cup pumpkin seeds
• 2 tablespoons cacao nibs
• 1 serving Beam CBD Oil

Place dark chocolate in a bowl and melt gently over a double boiler. Stir in the rest of the ingredients, spread out onto parchment paper, sprinkle with extra topping and chill in the fridge. Break into pieces when set and enjoy!
