I served this hot chocolate as part of my recent Stress and Sleep workshops at Follain and everyone loved it so much I thought I should share it with you!
This is not your average hot chocolate – I’ve combined creamy oat milk with rich almond butter, antioxidant and polyphenol packed cacao, warming and blood sugar balancing cinnamon, and my favorite CBD Oil from Beam.
Studies show that raw cacao contains over 300 compounds that positively affect the brain’s chemistry, boosting both serotonin and endorphin levels. It is also an abundant source of magnesium, the much needed miracle mineral that helps the body deal with mental and physical stress.
CBD can work in a similar way to neurotransmitters, activating the body’s healing and restoring parasympathetic nervous system, or what we consider ‘rest and digest’ mode (the opposite to ‘flight or flight’ mode).
Place all ingredients in a pan and warm gently. Blend, then drink. Feel better.
