Breakfast Smoothies are a key tool in my 28 Gut Day Guided Gut Healing Program and 8 Week Lean and Clean Program, and they make breakfast my favourite part of the day!
So many of you messaged me about how good this healthy smoothie recipe was when I posted it on my instagram feed that I had to share it with you here! Whilst it’s called a Mocha Maple Smoothie it can actually be made caffeine free, and is definitely sugar free!
Keeping our protein smoothies varied and interesting can be challenging as Tim and I have them every morning for a healthy breakfast option, and have done for many years. Thrive Market is my go-to when I looking for new #jennyapproved products, which is where I found both the swiss water processed coffee from Kicking Horse and the sugar free maple syrup from Lakanto that I used in this recipe.
Mocha Maple Breakfast Smoothie
Yields 1 serving
• 1 cup organic decaf coffee, cooled
•1 cup frozen cauliflower rice
•1/2 cup Elmhurst Unsweetened Almonds (use code ‘ JENNIFERHANWAY20‘ for a 20% discount)
•1 tablespoon ground flaxseed
•1 tablespoon almond butter
•1 tablespoon sugar free maple syrup
- Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.
